Go there on a Thursday or Friday to avoid the weekend crowds and take the time to really chat with the artisans. That's where the magic happens. 🧡
Charlevoix is one of the most famous agrotourism regions in Quebec, and the Route des Saveurs is the common thread. Cheese factories, orchards, artisan bakeries, microbreweries, breeders... fifty local producers open their doors to visitors along a circuit that crosses the most beautiful landscapes in the region.
It's the kind of getaway that starts as a short two-hour outing and ends six hours later, with chests full of cheeses and ciders. Wide shot. The must-see stops around Baie-Saint-Paul include Laiterie Charlevoix (the mythical aged cheddar), the Jardins du Centre in Saint-Urbain, and the Verger Pedneault in Île-aux-Coudres for ice ciders.
Most producers welcome dogs on a leash in outdoor areas, ideal for a day out with a family of four or six legs.
